Supplies and Preparations

I like this book. It is entertaining and offers a lot of great advice for mental and physical preparation that could get you out a jam in times of trouble. Would be a fine addition to your preparedness library. Paranoia not required.

Recently updated and now in its 10th edition, this book has been the family preparedness bible for many years. It contains a wealth of information and many excellent checklists for storing a wide variety of foods and other materials (medical supplies, camping gear, seeds, fuel, etc.), to prepare for long-term supply problems. It includes a huge, cross-indexed “yellow pages” directory of over 3,000 suppliers, but no notes as to recommended suppliers. Several chapters are devoted to cooking with typical stored foods, and there is a good section on nutritional supplementation.

Another excellent preparedness guide. Covers everything from food, to medicine, to firearms, to stocking up on your survival library. Has a small section on biological, nuclear and chemical terrorist attacks. Highly recommended!
