Handy Farm Devices and How to Make Them
First published in 1909, this is a valuable little book for the homesteader on a budget. Some of the sketches are for absurd little devices that are more amusing than practical, but most are for handy constructions that could come in useful if one wanted (or had to) do things for oneself. Illustrations include chicken coops, cistern filters, miter boxes, stump pullers, grain bins, cheese making, fleecing, farm gates, and more. Mostly simple sketches, so don’t expect any detailed do-it-yourself plans or complete written instructions.
