The Solar House: Passive Heating and Cooling

Another excellent book on passive solar design for your home. As compared to the Kachedorian book, it offers a broader range of ideas and concepts, and more information on indoor air quality and passive cooling for hot seasons, but less engineering types of details and calculations. Also includes some valuable tips on solar designs and ideas that did not prove to work well in the long run, so you can learn from the mistakes of the solar pioneers. If I was designing and building a passive solar home, I would pick up both books.
